A Vision of a Winged-Like Creature
04/17/2008 (Prophetess Choice Nwachuku Ph.D)
I was in a great coliseum whose building was very old and was starting to fall apart. Then I heard a great noise and looking out through the windows of the coliseum and there was a great army. The army was made up of millions of soldiers from many nations. The army was marching and at the top of it, riding it like a man would ride a chariot, was a form. As I looked at this scene and wondered what it meant, I heard another sound coming from above. I looked up and saw big winged-like creatures being cast down unto the earth. These creatures were falling on the marching army and I realized that both the form riding the army, and the winged-like creatures were demon spirits. I stood in amazement and asked what all of these meant. Suddenly, I felt a very bright light shining from above and again I looked up into the sky. I saw the heavens open and the Lord Jesus descending and stopped in the air. Then He said in a loud voice “THE BATTLE IS BEGUN, GO TELL THE WORLD” then I said what? He repeated it again in a louder voice “the battle is begun, go tell the world”. After this He went back into the heavens and the clouds closed and all was silent. Then I fell on my face as dead, and felt the hand of someone waking me up while still in the vision and I began to shout I will go, I will go, and came out of the vision still screaming I will go.
What exactly does this mean?
This message is in obedience to this vision. The Lord is stressing the fact that we are in the END TIME: There is so much awareness about this topic. Almost everywhere Christian media stations have something to say about this topic. It is the last days they proclaim and the events that are happening confirm this fact they say. Bible prophecies are being fulfilled, especially the restoration of Israel as a nation, they emphasize. That we are in the last days is, of course, not just a fact, but the truth. However, the question that every Christian should ask is “WHAT EXACTLY DOES THIS MEAN TO ME”. The answer I believe is simple. “OUR LORD JESUS WILL RETUN ANY DAY NOW”. This reality leads us to another very important question “ARE WE PREPARED FOR HIS SECOND COMING”. Every believer should take a moment and thoroughly look at his or her life before we answer this question. The trumpet will sound any day soon, and Our Lord Jesus will come back for His bride the church. There will be no excuse for the one who will miss the bridal party. That is why there is so much awareness of the end time, God is giving a warning to the world and the message is: “GET READY, WATCH AND PRAY SO THAT WE ARE NOT CAUGHT UNAWARE LIKE THE FOOLISH VIRGINS”. Remember the foolish virgins? Let’s examine the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered saying not so; least there be not enough for us and for you: but go ye rather to them that sell and buy for your selves. And while they went to buy the bridegroom came and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage and the door was shut. Afterwards came also the virgins, saying Lord, Lord open to us. But He answered and said verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the son of man cometh”. KING JAMES VERSION
What an interesting and very appropriate parable for the times in which the church is in. The ten virgins in the parable I believe represents the church (not the church and the world because the bible says that all ten were waiting for the bridegroom, you have to know the groom to wait for Him, this makes them Christians). All ten were going about their daily Christian routine however five of them were wise while the other five were foolish. But they are all believers, what then made half foolish and the other wise? The midnight hour was the separating factor.
You see, there was a span of time before it was midnight. The parable says that the groom tarried and they all slept. This means that situations arose while they waited which challenged them and tried to steal their faith. All ten virgins would have missed the Lord (for they all slept), but five of them did not miss Him. Why is this, the story records that the five who made the marriage had extra oil. That is in addition to the oil that was in their lamps, they made provision for more. These virgins were prepared; they were ready for the long haul. They were ready to fight whatever the world or the devil throws at them. Though they fell (slept) they were determined to bounce back, because they had spent time in the study of the word and in prayer. They were ready to run the race and obtain the price (1Corin.9: 24-27& Phil. 3:13-14). They definitely believed that the bridegroom will return no matter how long he tarried and they made plans so that they will not miss Him. These were the wise virgins, the ones that the door was not shut against.
Then there were the five foolish ones. The virgins who did not have extra oil. Who were Christians when it was convenient for them. Who talked the talk but never really walked the walk (Phil.3:16-19). Who did not have the ability to bounce back from a situation that challenged their faith because there was no true commitment to the things of God. They did not have extra oil; they were not prepared for the bridegroom’s return.
The question to us is: Are we prepared? The scriptures say that we ought to be wise and discern the times (Eph. 5:15-17). The discernment for these times is that IT IS THE LAST DAYS AND OUR LORD JESUS WILL SOON RETURN. The wise virgins were able to discern the times in the parable, and that is why they did not miss the groom. They did not only discern but made preparations. The bible tells us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phil.2:12). What does this mean? It is simple; we are to live a holy and righteous life. If we are determined to do this, the Holy Spirit is always available to help us achieve this goal; and the bible, a mirror to use and assess our progress (2Corin.3:18).
The book of Matthew 24 clearly speaks of Jesus return. This scripture goes further to describe events that will serve as signs for this great occasion. If the body of Christ is conversant with the bible, we will agree that we are already experiencing these signs. They point to the truth that sooner than later, the inevitable will happen and Christ will return. The need to ask the question: Are we prepared, cannot be over emphasized. Verse 42 in the same chapter commands us to watch for His coming. This simply means to be alert, wise, faithful and continue in those things that are godly. A person who does all of these things is prepared. Verse 47 says that the Lord will make the person ruler over all his goods. In other words, a reward awaits him.
It is also important to note that the unprepared person will be termed a hypocrite and will not be rewarded. Instead he will be thrown into hell which is signified by weeping and gnashing of teeth in verse 51.
Brethren, God is preparing His church for the great harvest and even now there is a separation in the house of God between the faithful and the unfaithful. Remember, just like it was shown in the vision, the battle of the end have begun. WE NEED TO MAKE A DECISION, WHETHER WE WILL BE AS THE FOOLISH, OR THE WISE VIRGINS. Remember the word “virgin” signify untouched and uncorrupted, clean and prepared as bride for the bridegroom – Jesus Christ. Well, as the saying goes “the ball is in our court”. Let us make sure that we play it to score a goal. It is my prayer that we will be as the wise virgins in Jesus name. Amen.
